Title

DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION & PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF A SELF-RUNNNIG GENERATING SET

Abstract

This research focused on developing a Self-Running Generating Set system based on electromagnetic induction, employing an AC motor connected to an alternator through a driveshaft. The objective was to produce electrical energy without relying on external fuel sources. The design featured a single-phase induction motor, a synchronous alternator, and a high-strength alloy steel driveshaft. The system used an energy source equipped with automatic switching circuitry, batteries, and a charging unit to power the induction motor, which in turn drives the alternator. A controlled feedback mechanism managed the original energy source based on signals from the auto-switching circuitry. A portion of the alternator's output was utilized to maintain the battery lifecycle. Extensive testing evaluated input power, output generation, and overall system efficiency under different load conditions. Thermal and vibration analyses ensured operational safety. The results were benchmarked against existing power generation methods to evaluate feasibility. Within the bounds of thermodynamic laws and energy conservation principles, this study advanced the understanding of Self-Running Generating Set systems and their potential application in sustainable energy production.
