Title

A Unified OSINT Framework for Multi-Domain Cybercrime Investigation

Abstract

The greater range of cybercrimes and the use of both digital platforms are the factors that have caused the fact that there is need to apply investigation tools, which will analyze multiple sources of data at once. Most of the existing OSINT tools are autonomous and domain-specific and this implies that the investigator would have to do manual integration of the results and that is why it is slow or not fully examined. The paper presents one OSINT system, that incorporates social, network, telecom, blockchain, leak, and identity-based intelligence into a single modular system. The framework takes into account the publicly available sources of data and multi-module architecture to facilitate the gathering of the information as well as cross-domain match. Analyses performed experimentally show that it is quicker, and it found more links compared to isolated tools. Regardless of the data constraints and the probability that it can lead to false positives at times, the framework presents a feasible, scalable and ethical solution of a modern-day cybercrime study. The proposed future additions may be regarded as AIs-related automation, real-time alerts, and increased access to foreign sources of intelligence.
