Title

Digital Transformation and Governance: A Case Study on HR Technology Implementation at Orient Cement

Abstract

The integration of HR technology is strategically vital for large-scale industrial firms, particularly in the cement sector, to manage complex regulatory requirements and workforce data1111. This article, based on a comprehensive project at Chittapur Orient Cement Limited, examines the state of HR technology adoption in ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. The study utilized extensive data collection, including a staff survey, revealing that advanced systems like HRIS, AI/ML, and Cloud Computing are effectively used to automate key processes and secure sensitive employee information. However, the primary barriers to full optimization are identified as employee resistance to change (37.5%) and a lack of technical expertise (31.3%). The findings emphasize a critical need to invest in data analytics and continuous training to transform HR technology from a tactical tool into a strategic asset for sustainable governance.
