Title

INVESTIGATION ON GEOTECHNICAL PROPERTIESOF WASTE DUMP SITE SOIL AND STRENGTH IMPROVEMENT BY USING SCBA AS STABILIZER

Abstract

Waste dump site soil has low strength and is not suitable for construction. This project studies the improvement of such soil using Sugarcane Bagasse Ash (SCBA), an agricultural waste material. Laboratory tests were conducted on natural soil and waste dump site soil to compare their properties. SCBA was added to the dump site soil in different percentages and tests like compaction and CBR were carried out. The results show that adding SCBA improves the strength of dump site soil, with the best improvement at 9% SCBA. This method is economical, eco-friendly, and useful for soil stabilization.
