Abstract SrinivasaRamanujan’s partition theory— Actually developed as a branch of number theory—has found unexpected but deep connections with modern cosmology and high-energy physics. From the microstates of black hole entropy to string theory, modular forms, q-series, and the statistical mechanics of the early universe, Ramanujan’s work provides mathematical frameworks that describe basic cosmic structures. This paper investigates these relationships, demonstrating how Ramanujan’s partition functions, modular forms, and mock theta functions have become central tools in understanding black hole thermodynamics, holography, quantum gravity, and the evolution of the cosmos.
