Modified fiber mud bricks, when produced with controlled fiber content, offer a viable alternative to conventional building materials for low-rise and non-load-bearing constructions. They are economical, environmentally friendly, and suitable for sustainable housing, particularly in rural and developing regions. Further studies incorporating stabilizers such as lime or cement and long-term durability tests are recommended to enhance performance and widen their practical applications. Mud bricks are eco-friendly building materials but suffer from low strength and durability. This study explores enhancing mud brick properties by adding natural/synthetic fibers (straw, jute, and polypropylene). Fiber reinforcement improves compressive strength, reduces shrinkage cracks, and boosts water resistance. Tests show up to 50% increase in strength and reduced water absorption. Fiber-modified mud bricks offer sustainable, cost-effective solutions for green construction.
