Digital literacy has emerged as an important role of youth entrepreneurship in the context of supporting India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. This study explains the role of digital literacy helps youth-led entrepreneurship, emphasis on opportunity recognition, innovation, and sustainable business development. It also examines how innovation ecosystems— government support, technological infrastructure, industry participation, and institutional frameworks—facilitate youth-led digital businesses. Using a qualitative research approach based on secondary data, the study draws upon academic literature, government policies, and reports from national and international organizations to analyze the interlinkages among digital skills, entrepreneurship, and economic transformation.
The findings indicate that digital literacy helps young individuals to access information, use emerging technologies, and develop innovative and scalable business models, which lowering entry barriers to start entrepreneurship. A supportive innovation ecosystem further supports young entrepreneurs by providing policy incentives, financial support, mentorship, and research and incubation facilities. Additionally, skill development and digital training programs improve youth employability, managerial competence, and entrepreneurial readiness, fostering innovation and help them to start long-term successful business sustainability.
The study highlights a strong relationship between digital literacy, youth entrepreneurship, and economic growth, demonstrating their collective contribution to job creation, inclusive development, and technological progress. Strengthening digital skills, expanding innovation ecosystems, and encouraging continuous skill development are therefore essential for empowering youth and help India to achieve goal of a knowledge-driven, innovative, and economically sustainable strong nation by 2047.
