Abstract In the digital age, copyright law plays a vital role in protecting the rights of creators while balancing public access and technological innovation. The rapid growth of internet use, digital platforms, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence has created new challenges for traditional copyright frameworks. Easy digital copying, online sharing, and global distribution have made enforcement increasingly complex. This research examines the evolving role of copyright law, the major issues in digital environments, including piracy, fair use, and platform responsibilities. It also explores possible solutions to adapt copyright systems to modern realities. Drawing on academic literature and legal cases, this paper finds that while copyright remains essential, existing laws must be reformed to address technological developments and ensure equitable access to knowledge and creativity.
