The study examines significant advancements in computer science parallel to the clock. It also examines how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming wide-ranging effects in different sub-domains of Computer Science. This review paper explores the latest developments, researcher’s interest and future lane in computer science. With a focus on transformative technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), quantum computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, robotics, and network security, this editorial introduces an issue of special significance featuring the most recent research in computer science and its sub-domains. It makes attentive to the connections between developments in several subfields, propelling digital change in industries including healthcare, education, space exploration, and transportation also. This paper also reviews how Generative AI (GenAI) is transforming computing education, both in research and classroom practice. More or less the innovative practices in the advancement of computer science and their future impact to shape a new world is also discussed in this study.
