Impact of Human Resource Management Practices on Employee Performance: A Study of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Units in Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh

Abstract

Abstract Human resources are the backbone of organizational success, particularly in knowledge-intensive and compliance-driven industries such as pharmaceuticals. The effectiveness of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices plays a crucial role in shaping employee performance, productivity, and organizational sustainability. The pharmaceutical manufacturing sector requires a skilled, motivated, and stable workforce to maintain quality standards, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The present study examines the impact of Human Resource Management practices on employee performance in pharmaceutical manufacturing units located in Mandideep, Madhya Pradesh. The study focuses on key HRM practices such as recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation, and employee retention. Primary data were collected from 150 employees working in selected pharmaceutical units using a structured questionnaire. The findings aim to highlight the relationship between HRM practices and employee performance and provide practical recommendations for strengthening HR strategies in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
