Abstract

This research proposal aims to conduct a case study on the ICT training program offered by the Rwanda ICT Chamber. The focus is on exploring the relationship between stakeholder engagement and project scope variance within this specific case. The objectives include investigating how stakeholder engagement impacts project scope variance, identifying effective practices for enhancing stakeholder involvement in managing scope variance, and developing a comprehensive framework for aligning stakeholder engagement with efficient scope variance management. The significance of this study lies in its potential to address a critical facet of contemporary project management and offer insights that can substantially improve project outcomes. By demonstrating a clear connection between stakeholder involvement and scope variance. The theory of change and stakeholder theory will be used the employed in this research proposal to provide a clear guidance on developing frameworks, results interpretation and guiding in methodological choices. The research will employ a descriptive research design, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods for data collection through questionnaires and surveys. Following Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 80 individuals will be selected from a population of 150. The data collected will be analyzed statistically using descriptive measures and inferential techniques. The findings will be presented visually, using tables, and written explanations.
