Animation is an important part of today’s digital world. It is used in movies, television, education, advertising, games, and many other fields. With the help of computers, animation has become easier and faster than traditional hand-drawn methods. There are mainly two types of animation used today: two-dimensional (2D) animation and three dimensional (3D) animation. Each type has different tools, techniques, and uses. This research paper studies the tools and applications of 2D and 3D animation in a simple and easy way. It explains basic animation concepts, commonly used software, and how animation is applied in different industries. The paper also discusses the advantages and limitations of both 2D and 3D animation. This study is based on secondary data collected from books, journals, and online sources. The language used in this paper is simple academic English and is suitable for undergraduate students.
