Two eminent Indian social thinkers, M. K. Gandhiji and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar among the diverse creative works both they were trying to abolish untouchability in Indian Hindu society. This paper will highlight how Ambedkar and Gandhiji’s work in eradicating untouchability as solution formula. Not only that this research article flourished a new pathway of comparative interpretation of Gandghiji’s and Ambedkar’s ideas on the abolition of untouchability in our Hindu society. The evils of untouchability were viewed from the different perspectives of both Gandhiji and Ambedkar. While both Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar strongly opposed to untouchability, their approaches and perspectives differed significantly.
