The present study entitled “A Descriptive study to assess the knowledge and awareness regarding dental health among school going children at Vagarayampalayam “ was undertaken during the year 2024-2025 in partial fulfillment of the requirement for the degree of bachelor of Science in Nursing at KMCH college of nursing, Coimbatore which is affiliated to Dr.M.G.R University, Chennai. Objectives: To assess the level of knowledge and awareness among school going children. Design; Descriptive design. Setting; Community setting (Vagarayampalayam) Sample; sample size was 60. The demographic profile was collected. The knowledge was assessed by closed ended questionnaire. Results: out of 60 subject the investigators found that 43.33% had adequate knowledge, 43.33% had moderate knowledge and 13.33% had inadequate knowledge. The investigator found that among 60 sample 8 subject had inadequate knowledge, 26 subject had moderate knowledge and 26 subject had adequate knowledge. According to their normal level of awareness (13.33%) had average awareness and (86.66%) had good awareness. Regarding the level of awareness 8 subject had average awareness, while 52 had good awareness.
