Title

Techno Economical Study on Effect of Aspect Ratio, Percentage Volume of Steel Fiber and Different Types of Curing Methods on Various Properties of High Performance Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete

Abstract

Concrete is widely used due to its low cost, availability, durability and ease of construction, but it suffers from brittleness, low tensile strength and poor fracture toughness. High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete (HPFRC) has been developed to overcome these limitations by providing higher strength, ductility, toughness and durability. The addition of short discrete fibers controls crack propagation and reduces shrinkage and creep in concrete. Curing plays a vital role in achieving strength and durability by ensuring proper hydration and reducing porosity of the cement paste. Hence, an appropriate curing method along with suitable fiber content and aspect ratio is essential for producing strong and durable concrete
