Rapid urban growth and increasing population have led to a significant rise in solid waste generation, creating serious challenges for waste management systems. In many cities, traditional waste collection methods depend on fixed schedules and manual monitoring, which often results in overflowing garbage bins, inefficient collection routes, and poor sanitation conditions. These issues not only affect environmental cleanliness but also increase operational costs and public health risks. Smart waste management systems offer a modern solution by integrating sensor technology, wireless communication, and real-time monitoring. In this study, an IoT-based smart waste management system is proposed to improve the efficiency of waste collection. Smart bins equipped with ultrasonic sensors are used to detect the level of waste inside the bin and send the information to a central monitoring system. The proposed system improves cleanliness, reduces fuel consumption, and supports sustainable urban development..
