Title

Gallery Gateway: An AI-driven Smart Tourism and Museum Ticket Booking Framework

Abstract

This extended review paper presents Gallery Gateway, an artificial intelligence–driven framework for real-time museum ticketing and digital visitor access management. The platform integrates OCR-based identity verification, retrieval-augmented conversational assistance, and secure payment processing within a unified system. The study consolidates earlier project work into a structured technical review focused on production-ready design choices. A hybrid edge–cloud OCR pipeline is proposed to balance accuracy, latency, and deployment feasibility in real-world environments. Confidence-based decision rules are applied to determine automated acceptance, clarification, or rescan of identity data. For cases with low OCR confidence, a retrieval-augmented dialogue mechanism is used to interactively resolve ambiguities while maintaining a smooth user experience. The framework also introduces idempotent booking logic and tokenized payment workflows to improve transaction reliability and data security. System performance is evaluated using accuracy, response time, resilience under low connectivity, and compliance with privacy and security standards. The results demonstrate that integrating intelligent verification, conversational AI, and secure transaction handling can significantly improve operational efficiency and user trust. The paper highlights the relevance of AI-enabled, modular architectures for developing scalable digital service platforms. Such systems have strong potential for adoption in cultural, educational, and public-facing environments that require secure, efficient, and intelligent access management.
