E-commerce means electronic commerce. It refers to buying and selling goods and services through the Internet and other electronic networks. Today e-commerce has become an important part of modern business. Customers can buy products, transfer money, and access services online through computers and mobile phones. E-commerce has changed the traditional way of doing business. It provides faster transactions, wider market access, and better communication between businesses and customers. In India, the rapid growth of the Internet and smartphones has increased the use of e-commerce platforms. This paper provides an overview of e-commerce, its types, technologies, and facilitators. It also explains the advantages and disadvantages of e-commerce. Special attention is given to the development and impact of e-commerce in Chhattisgarh.
