Currently affecting over a billion people worldwide, Diabetes has become a critical public health priority, particularly in developing nations like India, which is seeing one of the world's fastest-growing diabetic populations. As a chronic metabolic disease, Diabetes is characterized by elevated blood glucose levels resulting from insulin deficiency or resistance, which can lead to long-term damage to the heart, blood vessels, eyes, and kidneys. Ayurveda, a holistic science, offers robust solutions for both the prevention and management of this condition through the principles of Swasthavritta. By focusing on lifestyle modifications, dietary discipline, and mental wellness, Ayurvedic preventive measures provide a comprehensive approach to curbing the rise of this disease.
