Title

The Impact of Limited-Time Offers on Consumer Urgency and Purchase Behavior in EdTech Services: A Study with Reference to Bangalore City

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital learning platforms has significantly transformed the education sector. EdTech companies increasingly use marketing strategies such as limited-time offers (LTOs), flash discounts, and promotional campaigns to attract learners and increase course enrolments. These time- bound offers create urgency among consumers and encourage quicker purchase decisions. This study examines the impact of limited-time offers on consumer purchase behaviour in EdTech services. The research combines primary data collected from a survey of 123 respondents with secondary data from academic literature and industry reports. The results indicate that limited-time offers significantly influence consumer purchase decisions by increasing perceived value, urgency, and affordability of online courses. The findings suggest that promotional strategies involving discounts and time restrictions can effectively increase enrolment rates and engagement on EdTech platforms. The study provides insights for EdTech companies to design effective marketing strategies that enhance customer acquisition and improve sales performance.
