Title

Reimagining kriyasharira Education: The Flipped Classroom Approach

Abstract

Human Physiology deals with the study of normal functions of the human body and the mechanisms that maintain internal equilibrium. Kriyasharira concerned with the understanding of the normal functioning of the human body and the mechanisms that maintain internal equilibrium. Given the conceptual depth and clinical orientation of Kriyasharira, conventional teacher-centered methods often lead to passive learning and inadequate application of knowledge. To address these limitations, learner-centered approaches such as flipped classrooms, group discussions, and direct observation techniques are increasingly being integrated into medical education. Among these, the flipped classroom has attracted considerable attention as it relocates content delivery outside the classroom and reserves in-class time for active learning. The use of the flipped classroom in Kriyasharira, especially in areas like srotas and hrudaya, highlights its effectiveness in enhancing conceptual clarity. This article examines the benefits and educational impact of the flipped classroom and seeks to understand its application in Kriyasharira.
