Title

A Comprehensive Analysis of CFD-Assisted Multi-Parameter Optimization of Heat Exchanger Geometry for Improved Energy Efficiency

Abstract

This study investigates the optimization of heat exchanger design using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to enhance thermal performance and reduce energy losses. A comparative analysis between the base and optimized models was conducted to evaluate flow behaviour, temperature distribution, and pressure drop. The results showed that the optimized design improved heat transfer rate and effectiveness due to better fluid mixing and velocity distribution. Although a slight increase in pressure drop was observed, the overall thermo-hydraulic performance improved significantly. The CFD results were validated with theoretical data, confirming the reliability of the model.
