Medical tourism has become one of the fastest-growing segments of the global healthcare industry, with patients increasingly seeking treatment beyond their home countries. India has emerged as a preferred destination due to its ability to offer high-quality medical services at comparatively affordable costs. This study aims to explore the key factors that drive international patients to choose India for medical tourism. The research is based on secondary data collected from recent studies, reports, and reliable healthcare sources. It focuses on major determinants such as cost-effectiveness, quality of healthcare services, availability of skilled medical professionals, advanced medical technology, reduced waiting time, supportive government policies, and the growing influence of digital platforms. The study finds that India’s competitive pricing, combined with quality treatment and accessibility, plays a crucial role in attracting international patients. In addition, the increasing use of online information and patient reviews has further strengthened India’s position in the global medical tourism market. The study highlights that India has strong potential for continued growth in this sector, provided that consistent efforts are made to enhance service quality and global outreach.
