Title

An Intelligent Blockchain-Driven Online Voting Framework with AI-Based Fraud Detection for Secure Digital Elections

Authors

Abstract

The increasing adoption of digital governance and e-democracy initiatives has accelerated the demand for secure, transparent, and reliable online voting systems. Traditional online voting platforms suffer from various security vulnerabilities, including vote tampering, identity theft, duplicate voting, insider attacks, centralized database manipulation, and cyber-security threats that undermine election integrity and public trust. Although blockchain technology offers decentralization, transparency, and immutability, existing blockchain-based voting systems often lack intelligent fraud detection mechanisms capable of identifying suspicious voter activities and coordinated attacks in real time. To address these challenges, this research proposes an Intelligent Blockchain-Driven Online Voting Framework integrated with Artificial Intelligence-Based Fraud Detection for secure digital elections. The proposed framework combines blockchain distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, cryptographic vote encryption, decentralized vote validation, and machine learning-based fraud analytics to create a highly secure and transparent voting ecosystem. The blockchain network ensures tamper-resistant vote storage and verifiable election auditing, while the AI engine continuously monitors voter behaviour patterns, login activities, device signatures, voting timestamps, and network anomalies to identify fraudulent activities. Experimental analysis demonstrates that the proposed framework significantly enhances election security, transparency, fraud detection capability, voter trust, and operational reliability compared to conventional online voting systems. The research contributes toward the development of next-generation intelligent digital election infrastructures suitable for secure democratic governance.
