The rise of remote and hybrid work has increased the need for furniture solutions that support both childcare and professional productivity within the home environment. This study presents the design and development of a multifunctional Convertible Crib–Desk for remote-working parents with infants and toddlers. The product integrates a safe sleeping space, workstation attachment, and interactive activity panels to keep children engaged while parents’ work. Through ethnographic studies, user surveys, ergonomic analysis, concept development, and prototype validation, key challenges such as frequent work interruptions, limited child engagement, and the short lifespan of conventional cribs were identified and addressed. The final design offers a sustainable, child-centered, and multifunctional solution that extends product usability through multiple stages of child development while improving the work-life balance of modern families.
