In an increasingly competitive and uncertain business environment, organizations are under growing pressure to achieve financial performance while simultaneously addressing environmental and social responsibilities. Strategic management practices provide organizations with mechanisms for identifying opportunities, responding to external changes, allocating resources, developing competitive advantages, and achieving long-term objectives. At the same time, sustainable business performance requires organizations to integrate economic, environmental, and social considerations into their strategic decisions. This conceptual research article examines the relationship between strategic management practices and sustainable business performance. The study synthesizes perspectives from strategic management, the resource-based view of the firm, stakeholder theory, and the triple bottom line approach to develop an integrated conceptual framework. The article proposes that strategic planning, strategic leadership, innovation, resource management, stakeholder engagement, organizational adaptability, and sustainability-oriented decision-making can contribute positively to sustainable business performance. The paper further argues that innovation capability and organizational adaptability can strengthen the relationship between strategic management practices and sustainability outcomes. The article has implications for managers, policymakers, and researchers seeking to understand how strategic management can contribute to long-term organizational resilience and sustainable development.
