Agrivoltaics systems (APV), which combine solar panels with farming, have gained attention for addressing food, energy, and water challenges. This study reviews existing research and explores the potential of agrivoltaics in India, especially in West Bengal, due to its strong solar and agricultural capacity. The research highlights economic benefits of APV, including boosting India’s GDP and reducing rural-to-urban migration by creating jobs. This paper delves into the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning to optimize agrivoltaics acceptance in society. Agrivoltaics also supports sustainable goals like clean energy, resource conservation, and rural stability. The paper identifies challenges, such as policy gaps, and suggests solutions for large-scale adoption, emphasizing its role in achieving environmental and economic sustainability.
