In-Vivo Evaluation of Vrishya Karma (Spermatogenic & Reproductive Potency) of Kadamba (Neolamarckia cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser) in Nicotine Induced Oligospermia Model
Abstract
Male infertility accounts for 40–50% of global infertility cases, with oligospermia (low sperm count, correlated with Ayurvedic Ksheena Shukra) being a predominant cause. Traditional Ayurvedic medicine emphasizes Vajikarana Chikitsa using Vrishya herbs to revitalize reproductive function. Kadamba (Neolamarckia cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser) is classically documented as a potent Shukravardhana and Vrishya agent; however, robust empirical in-vivo validation remains scarce.
