Problem statement A descriptive study to assess knowledge , attitude and practice regarding HPV screening in women above 30 years in KMCT women and child hospital,manassery,Kozhikode. Objectives 1. To assess knowledge regarding HPV screening in detecting cervical cancer . 2. To assess attitude regarding HPV screening in detecting cervical cancer . 3. To assess practice regarding HPV screening in detecting cervical cancer. 4. To associate knowledge and selected socio demographic variables. 5. To associate attitude and selected socio deographic variables . 6. To associate practice and selected socio demographic variables. Assumption We assume that women at reproductive age have no knowledge regarding HPV screening. SETTING, SAMPLE and TOOL of the study The study was conducted in KMCT WOMEN AND CHILD HOSPHITAL Manassery Kozhikode . SETTING,SAMPLE and TOOL of the study The study was conducted in KMCT WOMEN AND CHILD HOSPITAL Manassery Kozhikode . The sample size was 60 . The structured knowledge questionnaire and Likert attitude scale was used to collect information about HPV screening in women. Data collection process The appropriate people and the review committee at KMCT nursing college has approved the study and its procedures. The period of data collection was 2 minutes . 60 sample from KCT WOMEN AND CHILD HOSPITAL gynecology department were collected from those who met the inclusion criteria for the study . The data was collected by structured knowledge questionnaire and Likert scale . Significant result of the study The study reveals that among 60 sample ,53% have adequate knowledge , 34% have moderate knowledge and 13% have inadequate knowledge and 97% have positive attitude , 3 % have neutral attitude and 18 % have adequate practice , 34% have moderate practice and 48% have inadequate practice . 7 The chi square value(49.8020) showed that there was a significant association between religion and level of knowledge and The chi square value (10.192) showed significant association between marital status and level of knowledge and The chi square value (6.35) showed significant association between age and level of practice .
