Title

A Study on Impact of GST on FMCG Companies

Authors

Abstract

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is one of the major indirect tax reforms introduced in India to simplify the tax system, improve tax compliance, reduce the cascading effect of taxation, and create a unified national market. The implementation of GST has influenced various sectors of the Indian economy, particularly the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. FMCG products include food and beverages, personal care products, household goods, and other frequently purchased consumer products. The present study examines the impact of GST on FMCG companies, consumer purchasing behaviour, retail businesses, and awareness of the GST system, with particular relevance to Telangana State.
