Abstract
Smart homes, healthcare, agriculture, industries, and smart cities now have more opportunities thanks to the Internet of Things' (IoT) explosive rise. However, there are significant security and privacy issues as a result of the numerous connected gadgets. IoT devices are constantly gathering and sharing private data that could be vulnerable to cyberattacks, viruses, illegal access, and data leakage. Due to the limited processing, memory, and energy capabilities of many IoT devices, traditional security techniques might not offer adequate protection. In order to offer safe communication, data protection, authentication, and privacy, this study suggests a Privacy-Preserving Security Framework for IoT Devices. To safeguard data during collection, transmission, and storage, the suggested system includes secure authentication, access control, lightweight encryption, and privacy-preserving methods. Additionally, the framework keeps an eye on device activity to spot any unusual.
The IoT device layer, secure communication layer, privacy and encryption layer, authentication and access-control layer, and monitoring layer make up the suggested layered security architecture. Security and performance metrics including authentication accuracy, encryption/decryption time, communication overhead, detection rate, false-positive rate, and data privacy protection can be used to assess the suggested architecture. A safe and effective framework that enhances IoT device security and privacy while preserving respectable system performance is the anticipated result. Smart homes, healthcare systems, industrial IoT, and other IoT-based applications can all benefit from the suggested method.
