Title

MULTI RESPONSE OPTIMIZATION USING GREY RELATION ANALYSIS FOR MILLING ZIRCONIA CERAMIC MATERIAL

Abstract

The paper presents multi response optimization of machining parameters during milling of zirconia ceramic material using tungsten carbide tool with grey relation analysis (GRA). Taguchi’s L9 orthogonal array is employed for conducting the experiments. The input parameters used are cutting speed, feed and depth of cut for improving surface roughness (SR), material removal rate (MRR) and flatness. Based on the GRA results optimum levels of parameters have been identified which are validated by the confirmatory experiment.
