Organizational commitment may be viewed as an organizational member's psychological attachment to the organization. Organizational commitment plays a very large role in determining whether a member will stay with the organization and zealously work towards organizational goals. This paper deals with workers organizational and service commitment in SIPCOT industrial region in Tamil Nadu. It outlines the various indicators of organizational and service commitment and such qualitative indicators are quantified. The quantified indicators are analyzed according to the occupational background of the workers. This paper concludes with some interesting findings along with policy suggestions.
