Now a day’s everyone depends on data and communication technologies, particularly the web, for delivery of services and operations, one among the most important challenges the globe facing is that of cyber security. Cyber security is a difficult problem, affecting several application domains and across various disciplines and fields. This paper illustrates wide range of attacks by the intruder to gain access over the resources or individual privacy. At the same time a range of measures are formulated to overcome the security threats.
