Abstract
The paper presents a spatial distribution of the soil types of Yercaud Taluk depending on selected environmental factors. The area under examination is distinguished by its specific hydrological and geological conditions. The research works were performed in relation to measured in soil types. Using specialist GIS software, proper interpolation procedures were performed, which enabled visualization in the form of raster and vector maps for the spatial distribution of the examined soil types.
