Dalit writing recently emerged all over India and mostly brings out the life experience of the socially marginalised people. This paper explores and theorises the traumatic life experiences of Dalit women in Tamil Nadu represented in the poems of Sukirtharani. It also tries to bring out the cause of the caste system and the plight of Dalit women who are victimised by the inhuman practices of the caste system. This paper tries to reveal the subtext of the victim’s unspoken and not quite visible pain.
