Title

THERMAL ANALYSIS IN LED LAMP OF PLUS FINS BY USING VARIOUS SPACING

Abstract

The need for LED systems with high light output leads to significant heat dissipation rates, so higher heat fluxes lead to elevated transition temperatures on LED chips in SSL lighting systems. In addition, changes in junction temperature greatly affect reliability, service life, light output, and light quality. Because of its implicit reliability, low cost, and quiet operation, passive air-cooling systems are preferred in LED lamps. Thus, the optimization of the radiator in the LED system is crucial. A-line LED lamps are being investigated and a number of FOMs are proposed, based on performance, size and weight. We study various forms of ribs, such as rectangular, square, round ribs, spinal and plus shapes, and the distance between the optimal shape. For comparison, an edge array with a plus sign gives better heat transfer than other extensions that have a different edge array shape with the same height and base surface of a ribbed surface. And the distance between the plus sign also affects the rate of heat transfer, for example, for a distance of 18 mm, 20 mm, 22 mm, 24 mm and 28 mm. The effectiveness of the ribs with the distance between the ribs with a sign plus 20 mm is higher than that of other gaps between the ribs. The temperature of the fin with a plus sign is minimal,i.e. 48.369 0С.
