The arena of customer interaction with the service industry offerings are generally called “Service Factories”. The added feature being that in the case of service industry the factory itself is the consumption point too in total contradiction to the goods industry. The customer experience at these factories or service touch points is what form the “ Service Experience” and the overall physical environment of the Service Touch point has been termed “ Servicescape”; rhyming with the word Landscape which essentially means the physical appearance of the area in question. Hospitals, Restaurants, Amusement Parks, Shopping Malls, Hotels, and Clubs etc. are all such service touch points and their physical appearances which is termed as Servicescape.
