Network-on -Chip(NOC) is used in Ultra Large Scale Integration for communication. Switching scheme is a key factor to determine the performance and implementation of NOC. In this paper, we implement a hybrid switching router which is the combination of both wormhole scheme and Virtual-Cut-Through(VCT) scheme. Router has the capability to exchange the configuration between switching schemes. Hence the cost in wormhole is less when compared to VCT scheme. This router is synthesized on Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA technology in VHDL language. This method reduces latency about 30.2% and increase average throughput about to 38.9% compared to common router and power is also less.
