Latterly, In any recognition system it may be object (or) facial (or) handwritten, there are mainly two process will be done, Feature extraction and Classification. It is necessary to reduce the size of the vectors in order to get high recognition rate and recognition time and good feature vector reduction. The feature vector size is more by reduced the image size, the feature vector dimension can be reduced but this also reduce the pixel information. In order to overcome this drawbacks, we use MLDA with SVM classifier. The applications of recognition of handwritten Devanagari characters by using LDA is recognition of ancient document, check reading, post code recognition, form processing and signature verification
