Title

Emotional Intelligence: Strategy for improving employee engagement & employer branding

Abstract

Emotional intelligence started gaining its importance to understand how management can use it efficiently for improving the quality of human resources in various organizations. The industries were no more, once it used to be and the necessity of Emotional Intelligence for the employees is the need of the hour. Emotional intelligence and employee engagement & commitment to the organization are the biggest factors that contribute to the success of organizations. If the employee’s wellbeing are taken care by organizations they become emotionally charged they can work more competently and prolifically which will in turn bring employee engagement & commitment. This study is an attempt to contribute a new perspective to the field of human resources and behavioral sciences with special reference to impact of emotional intelligence on employee engagement & commitment to the organization. This study addresses the gap in the literature by investigating the role of emotional intelligence employee engagement & commitment. This study analyses the relationship between emotional intelligence employee engagement & commitment. The relationship between the dimensions of emotional intelligence and employee engagement is not widely researched, thus the result of this study may contribute to the literature strategies for improving employee engagement & employer branding
