Machining processing industries have continuously developed and improved technologies and processes to transform finished product to obtain better super finished product quality and thus increase products. Abrasive machining is one of the most important of these Processes and therefore merits special attention and study of.belt polishing(grinding and buffing) is an abrasive machining process used on heavy metals and other materials. It is typically used as a finishing process in industry. The main objective of this project is to design and fabricate an abrasive belt stainless steel polishing machine which can be used as versatile polishing. The new types of grinding tools with the intermittent working surface is designed allowing practice of extending technological possibilities of the faultless face grinding of flat surfaces. The requirements for stable obtaining of surface finishes Ra= 0,2 ÷ 0,4 micro-meter are specified.
