This research intends to examine the effect of occupational stress and job satisfaction among government and private school teachers in Thiruvarur district. The sample was collected from 132 teachers from both sectors. The main data collection instrument was a questionnaire for the teachers. The result of the research reveals that government school teachers are highly satisfied one and private school teachers were facing a moderate level of stress. The tool used to analyses the data is mean value and correlation.
