Steganography is the art and science of concealing the existence of the message within seemingly harmless cover carrier for communication and the extraction of embedded message at the destination. The choice of the carrier used to embed the message, steganography can be classified into text, image, audio or video steganography. This paper provides a survey on different steganography techniques on text, image, audio and video and their performance comparison based on different qualitative evaluation parameters
