Title

Effect of Bi doping on Photoelectrochemical properties of ZnO

Abstract

To face the problem of energy crisis and future energy demand, a new alternative energy system is required. In this regard, Hydrogen an energy carrier, generated by photoelectrochemical route has been accepted as a future fuel. In the present study, Bismuth (Bi) doped ZnO was prepared by sol-gel route and its photoelectrohemical properties were investigated. Microstructural properties were investigated by XRD and SEM. Current voltage (I-V) curves were recorded by using Bi doped ZnO as working photoanode in three electrode cell under light and darkness. Nature of I-V curves confirmed n-type nature of samples.
