One of the elemental uses of heterocycles would be in the designing of better drugs with enhanced potency. A number of heterocyclic derivatives that contain nitrogen and sulphur atoms serve as versatile and emerging scaffolds for experimental drug design.1,4-benzothiazine constitutes a vital class of such heterocyclic system owing to its high therapeutic efficiency. As a result, numerous efforts for the synthesis of adequate derivatives of I,4-benzothiazine possessing diverse biomedical activities is a field of ongoing research.
