Smart ward is the residence of the patient using internet connected equipment to allow the surveillance and management scheme based on automatic sensors. The technology offers patient convenience, automates patient health surveillance and gives warning in case of emergency to hospital staff. This study is to focuses on the problem which we are facing in our hospital wards. The challenges in public and private hospital wards are primarily due to the absence of automation in managing abnormal conditions and tracking excessive numbers of patients with a restricted amount of hospital doctors/nurses. This study proposes an automated IOT-based smart ward devices for public as well as private hospitals. The minimal cost proposed solution facilitates critical patients to interact with their doctors and other staff members through the proposed smart device. It provides comfortable environment for the patients as well the doctors and other staff members.
