Title

Technical and Economic Assessment of solar PV/diesel Hybrid Power System for Cellular Base Station in Southern Somalia

Abstract

This article proposes the most practical plan of a sun based photovoltaic structure with a diesel generator as a hold for the hypothetical cell base station around Mogadishu (6.0333 ° N, 37.5500 ° E) in the south of the Somalia. A blend of the photovoltaic framework and diesel stations is sent worldwide to diminish the utilization of diesel fuel and lessen atmosphere contamination and the proposed replication has been done to guarantee that the photovoltaic framework and the semi-photovoltaic framework can be accomplished basically and in truth likewise in Somalia. The proposed structure can send a unique every day solicitation of 50 kWh with a pinnacle of 11 kW for 24 hours. Specialized and monetary investigation of the ideal framework has been done to look at the financial feasibility of sun oriented photovoltaic (PV)/gen/battery half and half force framework with that of an independent diesel generator just framework. For examination purposes HOMER recreation programming has been utilized and meteorological information of sun oriented insolation of the website have been taken from online information from BECO. To solidify the vulnerabilities of sun oriented radiation and the expense of diesel, both are viewed as a powerlessness variable in recovery. Portion charges are taken from the get together and gadget provider’s website page, and their progressions are assessed to be the estimation of Somalia. The consequence of the recovery shows that the photoelectric structure guided by the sun with generator propellers is more intelligent and more characteristic than in the structure of the traditional diesel generator during the lifetime of the task.
