Title

A Review on Thermo-Electric Generator Materials

Abstract

Thermoelectric Generators (TEG) are solid state semiconductor devices which generates electrical energy directly from temperature difference. The TEG works on the principle of Seebeck effect. The most commonly used commercial TEG devices use Bismuth Telluride (Bi2Te3) as the thermoelectric material, and can work up to a maximum temperature of 300 0C. This article gives an review on various organic and inorganic materials that can be used for thermo-electric generator applications.
