Medicinal herbs play a significant role in treating ailments of the common population. India is a well-known land of such therapeutic agents, where nearly 6000-7000 species of natural healers flourishes, which includes potential drugs such as Neem, Haridra, Kumari and Tulsi. These medicinal drugs are also widely used in pharmaceutical industries for preparation of multiple formulations. To ensure the efficacy of such formulations, standardised raw materials must be used by the industries. To cater such issues, thus study has been conducted to understand the quality standards of three such herbal drugs as procured from market or collected from herbal gardens of lovely professional University, and processed thereafter. The different standardisation parameters were used to ensure the quality and thereafter, the phytochemical screening using standard protocols were performed. The results ensured the values in the suggested limits as per API and different phytochemical presence was ensured. Such good quality materials may be used in laboratories and industries for preparation of newer and high efficacy formulations.
